Utah Housing Corporation $20K Program Assistance
Buying a home? You could qualify for up to $20,000 of assistance.
Utah Housing Corporation is offering up to $20,000 in assistance to first-time homebuyers. Known as the Program Assistance loan or “Program Assistance,” this limited offer is available to Utah residents who close on new construction or newly constructed homes after July 1, 2023. Other conditions and qualifications apply.
- Program Assistance must be provided by participating lenders. Cyprus Credit Union is a proud participant of Utah Housing Corporation.
- Provides funding at 0% interest and no monthly payments.
- Available on purchases up to $450,000.
- Borrower must be a Utah resident for at least 12 months before closing.
- Funding available on eligible property types, including detached single-family homes, condominiums, and townhomes.

Utah Home Start Grant
Get up to $5,000 to buy a home
Homebuyers in Utah have the opportunity to buy a home using government grant money for down payments and closing costs. Call or meet with a Mortgage Advisor to see if you qualify for a Home Start Grant at 801-260-7605.
Home Start Grant Details:
- May be used for down payment or closing costs
- May be used in conjunction with other grants or credits
- Available to borrowers who have not owned a home in the past three years (some exception may be made)
- 5-year retention period. If the property is sold or refinanced within the first 5 years following loan closing, the borrower must repay a prorated portion of the grant funds.
- Borrowers must complete a homebuyer training class (may be done online)
- Loan subject to approval. Other restrictions and qualifications may apply.
