Will the upgrade change Home Banking or the Mobile Banking app?
The basic design and functionality of our online Home Banking service and our Mobile Banking app will remain the same. However, there are two changes members will see. These are addressed below:
Switching from an account-centric system to a person-centric system
The upgrade will convert our systems from an account-centric layout to a person-centric layout. This means accounts will now be tied to the individual member instead of the member being tied to the each of their respective accounts. This means you can now use one account or login to access every account you are authorized to transact on, both in branches and in Home/Mobile Banking. You will no longer need to manage multiple logins and passwords for Home Banking, nor will you need to logout and login to manage multiple unlinked accounts. One login will allow you to see every account you are authorized to transact on.
This also means that anyone who shares your Home Banking login (such as a joint-owner) will be able to see all available accounts you are authorized to transact on. If you currently share a login for Home/Mobile Banking and do NOT want the joint-owner to see all of your accounts, a separate login must be created for them.
If the joint-owner already has a personal Cyprus account of their own, they can enroll in Home Banking under their personal account at any time (if they don’t already have their own Home Banking login). After the upgrade, they can use this login to access Home/Mobile banking, where they will see all the accounts they are authorized to transact on, including accounts on which they are joint-owner.
If the member is a joint-owner ONLY and does not have a Cyprus account of their own, they will not be able to enroll for their own login until after the upgrade (Monday, Nov. 1, 2021). If you are concerned that the joint-owner who shares your login will have access to all of your accounts, you can change your username and password prior to the upgrade; then, have the joint-owner enroll in Home Banking once the upgrade is complete. Once enrolled, the joint-owner will only see the accounts they are individually authorized to transact on.

Changes in account suffixes
Account suffixes will be changing from a 2- or 3-digit letter-number combo to a 4-digit number. For example: A Dream Checking account is currently your member number followed by “S5.” After the upgrade, your Dream Checking account will be your member number followed by “0500.” This means that your account numbers will look a bit different on Home/Mobile Banking, i.e., XXXXXX-S5 will now be XXXXXX0500. Also, when using Home/Mobile Banking to transfer funds to another Cyprus member, you will now use the new suffix types when setting up the transfer.
You can view an example of the old and new suffix types for our most used products in the FAQ section of cypruscu.com/upgrade.
Will I need to redownload the app or re-enroll in Home/Mobile Banking?
No, there will be no need to redownload or re-enroll in Home/Mobile Banking.
How can I create a separate username for a joint-owner on my account?
It all depends on what accounts the joint-owner has. If they have an account of their own, they can enroll in Home Banking on their personal account before the upgrade (if they don’t already have their own login). This will allow them to set up their own username. If the joint-owner has no account of their own (i.e., they are just a joint-owner), they will need to wait until after the upgrade to enroll in Home Banking under their own username.
