September Teacher of the Month

Nicole Reitz-Larsen, teaches AP Computer Science at West High School

The September Teacher of the Month award goes to Mrs. Nicole Reitz-Larsen, an AP Computer Science teacher at West High School. She has been awarded $1000.00, half to spend on her classroom and half to spend on herself.

She was nominated by a fellow teacher, Larry Stanley, who teaches across the hall from her. Stanley says, "Every day, I see how hard she works to engage students in learning not just the “how” of computers, but also the “why”. Her lessons are fun and hands-on. Her work is focused on connecting our diverse students to technology tools that will open doors to careers."

Congratulations to Mrs. Reitz-Larsen, the hard work doesn’t go unnoticed
